August, 2016 - December, 2018 • Conduct feasibility study and engineering survey, design, cost estimate and construction supervision related to Multiple Use water Systems (MUS), Solar MUS, Micro Irrigation Technologies (MITs), water harvesting tanks, recharge ponds, Hydrams, Collection Centre and other DRR mitigation activities identified through LAPA. • Support District Coordinator on the planning and implementation of the water component of the project in close coordination with Regional Engineer. • Support PC, DC and other ANUKULAN staff to generate matching resources to implement the water technologies at the pocket level. Provide full support and assistance to PC and DC to develop detailed implementation plan (DIP) of water technologies under water component. • Lead water technologies under water component to implement effectively in district as per DIP and ensure that is being implemented as per DIP, strategy and guidelines of ANUKULAN. • Work closely with agriculture technicians to make sure that farmer's fields are suitable for high value crops and they are willing to grow vegetables. Works closely with social mobilizers to identify the sites for water technology implementation that are socially appropriate. Assist social mobilizer (SM) to set up a MUS user group and mobilize the group to establish Repair and Maintenance (R & M) funds. Also assist SM for provision of care taker and R and M funds are collected regularly. • Make sure that the district program officer has well understood and recommended the implementation of MUS and MIT are appropriate for a particular community in view of MUS linkages on agriculture and local markets. • Exploration of opportunities for working together with other development partners for the promotion of MIT, Collection centers, Hydram, recharge pond & MUS (gravity as well as solar) in the project district.
